Supporting Our Community: The Impact of Ranch Capital Advisors' Blessings Fund

One of the things I value most about being part of Ranch Capital Advisors is our commitment to ministry and stewardship through our Ranch Capital Blessings Fund. Each year, Ranch Capital Advisors donates 1% of our gross income to this fund. Through it, every advisor can support an organization that resonates with them, making a meaningful difference in their communities.

Why I Chose Lake Wales Care Center

Choosing the Lake Wales Care Center was an easy and personal decision for me. I was born and raised in Lake Wales, and I continue to raise my family here. The Care Center has been a constant presence in my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible impact this organization has on our neighbors' lives.

The Lake Wales Care Center is a faith-based community service organization. Its mission is to demonstrate Christ’s love by connecting people in need with those who want to serve. Their guiding philosophy is beautifully summarized as: People helping people helping people.

Addressing Community Challenges

Like many communities, Lake Wales has individuals and families facing challenges such as food insecurity, housing instability, medical needs, and disabilities. Many also seek mentorship and support. At the same time, our community is filled with generous individuals who want to help but may not know how to connect with those in need. The Care Center plays a vital role by bridging that gap. They coordinate services and volunteers to ensure resources are used efficiently and reach families who truly need them.

This organization holds a special place in my heart. My daughter Elizabeth, who has cerebral palsy, volunteers there regularly. Watching her serve others and seeing the compassion and dedication of the staff and volunteers has deepened my appreciation for the Care Center's impact on our community. Supporting an organization that has helped shape her servant’s heart makes this partnership especially meaningful to me.

Our Support for Life-Changing Programs

Through the Ranch Capital Advisors Blessings Fund, we are specifically supporting two of the Care Center’s life-changing programs.

Transitional Housing Program

For many individuals and families, losing a safe and stable home creates challenges in nearly every area of life. The Care Center’s Transitional Housing Program provides a strong foundation by offering housing, food security, and job training to help participants regain stability.

Individuals and families may stay in the program for several weeks or months, depending on their needs. During that time, they work closely with case managers to set and accomplish goals related to financial management, spiritual growth, and family development. Entry into the program includes an interview process to ensure it is the right fit and that participants can fully benefit from the available resources.

What I find especially impactful about this program is the strong sense of community it fosters. Participants are encouraged to build relationships and support one another through group activities such as Bible studies, volunteering at the Community Kitchen, family barbecues, bowling nights, drive-in movies, and other events. These opportunities help families rebuild not only their stability but also their confidence and sense of belonging. Ultimately, the program offers hope and helps families create a path toward a brighter and more secure future.

Job Seekers Program

We are also supporting the Care Center’s Job Seekers Program, which helps individuals of all ages successfully enter or re-enter the workforce. This Christ-centered program provides weekly job coaching sessions focused on preparing participants to secure and maintain employment.

Participants, known as Job Seeker Interns, gain hands-on experience by working within various Care Center programs. This allows them to develop valuable skills while strengthening their resumes and building confidence. The program is short-term and stipend-based, giving participants both practical experience and financial encouragement as they transition into full-time or part-time employment.

Programs like these demonstrate how meaningful support can transform lives. The Lake Wales Care Center is not simply meeting immediate needs — they are equipping individuals and families with tools, encouragement, and community support that helps create long-term stability.
